Living on the Isle of Mull off the west of Scotland with my wife and photographic partner Helen, I have many years of traditional and digital photography experience. My interest in photography started in the early seventies with the surprise gift of a totally manual Zenit B camera, a robust Russian built camera that provided a fascinating insight into photographic understanding. From that moment on I was inspired and photography has been an important part of my life ever since.
As a creative commercial and stock photographer my mission is to create images that distil reality into a personal vision. I have empathy with natural detail and pattern believing these to be the building blocks of the natural world. This combined with attention to colour, shape and texture brings wonderment from the most commonplace of subjects from atmospheric landscapes to creative abstracts ranging from macro to telephoto. Photography that speaks for itself, I am slways looking for those special images with something extra to lift them above the ordinary.
I am a qualified photographer of the British Professional Photographers Assoc. and Royal Photographic Society, a member of the Canon Professional Network (CPN), the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) and an experienced Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom user committed to embracing the progress of the latest digital photography technology.
